Bill MacKinnon

Bill MacKinnon was Chief Executive Officer of KPMG (Canada) LLP from April 1999 until his retirement in December 2008. Mr. MacKinnon joined KPMG (Canada) LLP in 1971, became a partner in 1977, the Toronto Managing Partner in 1988, and the Greater Toronto Managing Partner in 1992. He obtained the Fellow Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1994 and, during the period between 1999 and 2002, became a member of the board of directors of each of KPMG Canada, KPMG International, and KPMG Americas.

Mr. MacKinnon also formerly worked at KPMG LLP (Canada), as Chief Executive Officer in 2008, The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, as Chairman from 2010 to 2011, Toronto Board of Trade, as Chairman, Michael Garron Hospital, as Chairman, TELUS Corp., as Independent Director from 2009 to 2019, Novadaq Technologies, Inc., as Independent Director from 2012 to 2016, Osisko Mining Corp., as Independent Director from 2010 to 2013, KPMG International Cooperative, as Director in 2002, C.D.
